About the event

Then as now, baseball brings us together

Third Place Books and the Rainier Valley Historical Society welcome local author Mark Holtzen to our Seward Park store for a storytime featuring his classic book A Ticket to the Pennant. In this tale of historic Seattle, a young boy is excited to watch the Seattle Rainiers—predecessors to the Mariners—play a big game. But he's lost his ticket! Luckily, his neighbors—from the Italian bakery to the Japanese fish market—are ready to help.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is not required. Readers of all ages welcome!
