Comet Lodge Cemetery Tour

Comet Lodge Cemetery on Beacon Hill is one of Seattle’s most mysterious landmarks. Like a ghostly whisper, it resurfaces in public memory from time to time, only to fade back into silence. Its grounds hold nearly 500 recorded burials: pioneers, immigrants, and community leaders who helped shape early Seattle. Yet most markers are gone, shifted, or forgotten, leaving behind more mysteries than answers.

On this guided tour, you’ll walk among the uneven grounds and discover the history buried beneath the headstones with local historian and former RVHS Director, Mikala Woodward. She will share stories of the people laid to rest here, bringing their lives and legacies out of the shadows.

Please note: The cemetery terrain is uneven; comfortable shoes are recommended. Parking at the site is limited.
