About the event

Now in its tenth year, the RVHS Founder’s Dinner celebrates the leaders and stories that shape Rainier Valley. This year we honor Estela Ortega, longtime civil-rights advocate and Executive Director of El Centro de la Raza.

For over four decades, Ortega has championed affordable housing, education, and social justice. She helped transform a shuttered Beacon Hill school into El Centro de la Raza, a vital community hub, and later led the creation of Plaza Roberto Maestas, a nationally recognized model for equitable development.

The evening includes a delicious fajita dinner, live music entertainment, and both silent and live auctions.

Program

  • 5:00 PM – Social Hour & Silent Auction

  • 6:00 PM – Dinner
